Mission Activities

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance to Victims of Hurricane Katrina The hurricane in New Orleans and along the Gulf Coast flattened buildings, flooded streets and snapped utility poles. But, there is a force that is even stronger than the devastating effects of wind and weather: God’s boundless love. Join Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) in making that love felt to the thousands of victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Volunteer on relief teams and/or contribute on this hyperlink.

Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) has mobilized relief efforts to Asia in the wake of the earthquake and tsunamis that have killed more than 100,000 people. More than a million people have been displaced from their homes. Donations to the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance program are still needed to deliver relief supplies to the people at risk in this crisis.

For your convenience, contributions to Chapel Hill and any of its missions can now be made via Paypal!  Just use the email address at the top of this page.

Community Needs Assessment

Visit The Hunger Site and click the "Give Free Food" button (once a day per person). This simple action gives more than a cup of food to a hungry person. It costs you nothing. Funding is paid by site sponsors and benefits two leading, nonprofit hunger relief organizations. The number of people clicking directly determines the amount of food that goes to the hungry.
Also the home of Breast Cancer Site, Child Health Site, Rainforest Site, and Animal Rescue Site (see index tabs on the top of the page).

Presbytery
