Chapel Hill welcomes James H. Rucker, Sr., currently Stated Clerk of the Presbytery of Transylvania, who will be acting as our pastor temporarily.  Jim is a graduate of Lexington Theological Seminary and Louisville Theological Seminary, and has served as pastor of several Presbyterian churches over his career.

Jim has also served the synod as stated clerk and as a member of the Synod Personnel Committee, and the General Assembly on the council and on staff services.

When Jim is not serving the Presbyterian Church, he serves the Rotary Club, where he has been president and treasurer, as well as being active in a number of other civic and ministerial organizations.
